Many youth and young adults are struggling with their mental well-being due to the pandemic, more than other age groups, research shows. Anxiety, loneliness, stress: this has sounded familiar to many of them since the pandemic. According to the Netherlands Youth Institute (NJi), the independent knowledge center about growing up, the negative consequences that young people and young adults experience from the corona crisis are a normal reaction to an unusual situation.
What are the consequences of the corona measures on the mental well-being of young people? And how do you get back on top of that? We asked three recent graduates who know about it: a sociologist, neurologist and psychologist.
